1. Introduction

Welcome to Apex Plumbing Solutions. We are committed to a safe, productive, and respectful workplace. This Code of Conduct outlines our standards. It applies to all employees, contractors, and subcontractors.

2. Purpose

This policy sets the rules for behaviour at work. It helps us comply with the Fair Work Act 2009 and the WHS Act 2011. It ensures everyone understands what is expected of them.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all plumbers, apprentices, office staff, and delivery drivers engaged by Apex Plumbing Solutions.

4. Our Values

We operate by these values:

  • Respect: We treat everyone with dignity.
  • Integrity: We act honestly and ethically.

5. Legal Compliance

You must follow all Australian laws.

6. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)

Safety is our priority.

  • You must wear steel-capped boots, high-vis shirts, and safety glasses on all sites.
  • Zero tolerance for drugs or alcohol while working or driving company vehicles.
  • Report any gas leaks or electrical hazards immediately to the Site Supervisor.

7. Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination

We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment.

  • Sexual harassment, including inappropriate jokes, is strictly prohibited.
  • If you experience harassment, report it to Sarah Jenkins (Office Manager).

8. Professional Conduct and Behaviour

  • Be polite and professional to clients, especially when inside their homes.
  • Swearing at clients or colleagues is not allowed.
  • Clean up the work area before leaving the client's property.

9. Work Attendance and Punctuality

  • Start work at 7:00 AM sharp at the depot.
  • If you are sick or running late, call the Office Manager by 6:45 AM.

10. Company Property and Equipment

  • Vans must be cleaned out every Friday.
  • Do not use the company EFTPOS machine for personal purchases.

11. Conflicts of Interest

  • You must tell the Director if you have a relative who works for a supplier we use.

12. Confidentiality and Privacy

  • Do not take photos of clients' homes or possessions for social media.
  • Keep client billing details secure.

13. Social Media and IT Use

  • Do not complain about Apex Plumbing on Facebook.
  • Company iPads are for quoting jobs and inventory only.

14. Breaches of this Code

Breach of the WHS or Drug and Alcohol policy may result in immediate dismissal.
