Reference: This claim is made pursuant to Clause 4.12 of the AS 4000-1997 Contract.
Details of Qualifying Cause: We hereby give notice of a delay to the progress of the Works caused by Inclement Weather and Late Issue of Architectural Drawings.
Description of Event:
- Inclement Weather: Severe rainstorms occurred on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of August 2023. This prevented external glazing works and the delivery of materials to the site dock.
- Late Drawings: Structural detail drawings for the feature staircase (Drawing A-02 Rev C) were issued on 10/08/2023. This was 10 days later than the program date required to maintain the critical path.
Effect on Progress: Due to the rain, the external site hoarding was unsafe for delivery vehicles. The staircase steel fabrication could not commence until the drawings were verified.
