We refer to your employment with Apex Plumbing Pty Ltd as a Qualified Plumber. This letter serves as formal notice that your employment is terminated.

2. DATE OF TERMINATION Your employment with Apex Plumbing Pty Ltd will terminate on 29 October 2023 (the "Termination Date").
3. NOTICE PERIOD [ X ] You are required to work out your notice period until the Termination Date. [ ] You are directed not to attend work during your notice period (Gardening Leave). You remain an employee until the Termination Date and will be paid as usual. [ ] Your employment is terminated immediately without notice due to serious misconduct.
4. PAY AND ENTITLEMENTS You will receive the following payments on your final pay day 3 November 2023:
- Payment in lieu of notice: $0.00
- Wages up to Termination Date: $2,500.00
- Accrued but untaken annual leave: $3,200.00
- Annual leave loading: $320.00
- Accrued but untaken long service leave: $0.00
- Redundancy pay: $6,000.00
- Total: $12,020.00
5. RETURN OF PROPERTY Please return all company property by 29 October 2023. This includes:
- Ford Transit Ute (Registration: XYZ 123)
- Dewalt Power Drill Kit
- Company iPad
- Apex Polo Shirts (x3)
6. SUPERANNUATION We will continue to make superannuation guarantee contributions on your behalf up to the Termination Date.
7. CERTIFICATE OF SERVICEnIf you require a Certificate of Service for future employment, please let us know.

This example shows a redundancy scenario. The employee has worked for 3 years. The notice period is 3 weeks. The date of issue is 15 Oct. The final day is 29 Oct. Redundancy pay is calculated based on 3 weeks of pay per year of service. The employer specifies exactly what tools must be returned. This is for tradespeople.
