Warranty Terms: We, Elite Plumbing Solutions Pty Ltd, warrant that the installation workmanship will be free from defects for the period specified below. The manufacturer warrants the cylinder.
Warranty Period: Workmanship Warranty: 12 months from 15 October 2023. Manufacturer Warranty on Cylinder: 10 years from 15 October 2023.
What is Covered: Workmanship Warranty: Covers leaks in joints made by our technicians, correct operation of the tempering valve set to 50 degrees Celsius, and secure mounting of the unit.
What is Not Covered: This warranty does not cover damage caused by hard water buildup, faulty thermostat adjustments made by the user, damage from storms or trees, or failure of the unit due to lack of servicing as per manufacturer guidelines.
How to Make a Claim: To make a claim under this warranty, you must:
- Contact us at 07 1234 5678 within the warranty period.
- Provide Invoice INV-2023-456 as proof of purchase.
- Provide access to the hot water system for inspection.
- Describe the nature of the leak or fault.
Consumer Guarantees: Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This example separates the workmanship warranty from the manufacturer warranty. This is for tradespeople. The plumber is only responsible for how they connected the pipes, not the steel tank itself. The exclusion for hard water is specific to the plumbing trade.
