Notes

In this example the contractor has specified the exact Australian Standards AS 3958.1 and AS 3740. This is for tiling work as it provides a clear benchmark for quality. The warranty period is set at 24 months which is a standard voluntary period for tiling though statutory rights remain longer for major defects. The exclusions are very specific regarding structural movement and chemical cleaners which are common causes of tile damage unrelated to the tiler's work. The licence number is included as required by Victorian law.
