1. Business Details
- Business name and ABN are correct on all records.
- Business structure is recorded (Sole Trader, Company, Trust).

- Workers Compensation insurance policy is current.
2. Employee Classification
- Have I identified the correct Modern Award for each employee?
- Have I determined the correct classification level within the Award?
- Are all employment contracts written and signed?
- Have I provided the Fair Work Information Statement to new hires?
3. Wages and Pay Rates
- Are base hourly rates above the National Minimum Wage?
- Are junior rates applied correctly if applicable?
- Are apprentice and trainee rates correct?
- Are casual loading percentages applied correctly?
- Are penalty rates (weekend, public holiday, overtime) calculated correctly?
- Have I checked for recent wage increases in the Award?
4. Record Keeping
- Do I keep timesheets for all employees?
- Do I issue pay slips within one working day of pay day?
- Do pay slips include all required information (ABN, gross/net pay, tax, super)?
- Are employment records stored securely for 7 years?
- Are leave balances recorded accurately?
5. Superannuation and Tax
- Is the Superannuation Guarantee rate up to date?
- Am I paying super to a complying fund?
- Do I pay super at least 4 times a year (quarterly)?
- Am I reporting through Single Touch Payroll (STP)?
- Are PAYG withholding amounts correct?
6. Leave Entitlements

- Is personal/carer leave accruing correctly?
- Is unpaid leave tracked and recorded?
- Is long service leave being monitored (if applicable)?
- Are public holiday entitlements managed correctly?
7. Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
- Do I have a current WHS policy?
- Have staff completed mandatory safety training?
- Is first aid equipment accessible and maintained?
- Are incident reports filled out when accidents occur?
8. Termination and Redundancy
- Do I know the correct notice period for each employee?
- Have I calculated any redundancy pay owed?
- Is the reason for termination lawful?
- Have I paid out all accrued annual leave and long service leave?
